John has had the privilege of being the President of ACEM through the most tumultuous time of a generation. He lives and works mainly in Aotearoa New Zealand (more-so in the last 18 months), loves his work as an emergency physician in Waikato Hospital (and occasionally in Alice Springs) since 2003. He has been on College Council and the ACEM Board since 2007, relishing engagement in the Trans-Tasman partnership and political advocacy. A qualified (snow) ski instructor and a (relatively) competitive water-skier, mountain-biker and road cyclist he is passionate about keeping a healthy body with a healthy mind. He is fortunate to be supported by an intelligent, talented and patient life-partner, two adult children and many friends.
