
Kate Jurd has been working in medical education at Toowoomba Hospital since 2005. She has a background in educational technology and has implemented a number of innovative learning programs to support the education and training of junior doctors.
Kate also works part-time with UQ Rural Clinical School as the Lead for the RCS technology enhanced learning initiative to support student learning through learning design and the use of digital technologies.
In 2017 Kate was recognised at a state level for her skills and ability in educational technology and received the Queensland Women in Technology ICT professional award.
With a fervent interest in health and wellbeing, and an aspiration to educate staff about the benefits of personal wellbeing and self-care, Kate is currently leveraging technology, to support and develop health and wellbeing programs for students and doctors.
Kate loves getting out outdoors to get her ‘nature’ hit and incorporates trail running and bush yoga as part of her wellbeing plan.
